Conference OLD SCHOOL vs. NEW SCHOOL

First of all, attending the conference , I ve found out the differences between OLD SCHOOL vs. NEW SCHOOL,basically 2 paradigms ,the first one resuming to the absence access to computer and creation of artifacts.

I ve also found out which is the essence of CURATOR GALLERY,a project in which groups of students must create a gallery based on several pieces of artwork from the MET,that the art pieces were chosen before hand in the preceding project.

In CURATOR`s GALLERY, the students are asked to design innovative spaces which showcase their works of art.

The RESOURCES are : FAB LAB,Computer Software,MEDIA Lab,Art Room, Internet.

The reasons behind the paths in the favour of MORE MODERN TECHNOLOGY are : at times it takes more time but in the end,it makes it look more professional and like you worked harder on it,some groups were able to learn more skills. capacities,technology helped a lot in the process of organization and permanent communication.

The reasons for LESS MODERN TECHNOLOGY would be: I trust myself more than I trust technology; in some cases it is an easier way of completeing the project,modern technology is not thus necessary for everything,however it is a good way to make a visually wonderful gallery.

In the end of the presentation, the question that was formulated was:

CAN OLD and NEW TECHNOLOGY be equally efficient and presentable?
