Full Session Description (as long as you would like):
As technology advances education should be following this rapidly growing industry. 3D printing is the pinnacle of 21st century technology it has transformed materials we use in our daily lives with the use of cutting edge technology into being used for; industrial production, biology and medical uses and education. Education is the foundation of all knowledge it teaches us important and useful skills in society. The uses for 3D printing are endless this includes using it for education.
As someone who uses and enjoys 3D printing I apply certain skills that I have to my school projects. I try to always seek an opportunity in school projects to use 3D printing for example I used 3D printing in my english class for a project in which we had to make a 3D replica of our book setting. I’m lucky enough to have a wonderful school that supports my passion for 3D printing an example of this is that my school has a STEAM center at my school devoted to enhancing the lives of students with STEAM. I take advantage of this amazing facility for school purposes and personal purposes as well. For someone like me that has successfully used 3D printing in school projects I would like to encourage students to as well that have access to these amazing technologies. I would also like to encourage teachers to promote 3D printing in their classrooms!
