Full Session Description (as long as you would like):

Our session describe about a student resource that would help teachers to teach year 11 and 12 students how logic gates actually work. Our idea is to create a visual way to explore how logic gates use inputs and provide different outputs. Our idea is a programmable logic block. It will be able to be joined to other blocks to provide a different output. These blocks can be reprogrammed by a simple computer application, to provide a quick way to change the function without additional costs. Other products provide similar functionality but are always limited in one way, to be able to change it's function quickly and inexpensively. Our device will help the students' understanding about logic gates and help to ensure that the Australian Software Design and Technology Syllabus is met and can be taught in a fun and engaging way. We are going to make these logic gates prior to the presentation and then present them during the presentation.
