Area of the World from Which You Will Present: India
Language in Which You Will Present: English
Target Audience(s): Educators, Teachers and Students
Short Session Description (one line): Not to use Social Media to impress people, but to impact people.
Full Session Description (as long as you would like): you know that in recent months 65% of violence has been reduced in India. These all things are possible only because of advancement in social media like Facebook, twitter and blogs.
I think that social media has become a great equalizer. There are many organizations that support the work of social movements. Those people who are not on social networking sites, they are themselves social.
If we are using social networking sites only for chatting, sharing pictures and to give comments to others , we are wasting our time. Striving for social justice is the most valuable things to do in our lives.
Nowadays Youth is using social media not to make world a better place but to talk with their friends. But I want to make the young generation aware about what is happening in this world and what action is required to make the world a better place to live .To make this world a better place we need:
I always wandered why somebody didn't do something about social justice , but now I realized that I AM SOMEBODY and I HAVE TO DO SOMETHING.
if I'll get a chance I'll explore my topic more because I want to make people aware the reality of the world .

Dear Simran,
I love your proposal so far. I just have one minor suggestion. I believe your presentation can also fit under the tag 2016SocialJustice. Please add that tag to your proposal and you will be good to go!
All the best,

Thank you for giving me this suggestion. I am glad to you. thank you once again.
Dear Simran,
I support all your proposals, especially the idea to use social media for education. I think teachers can help to realize this idea spreading knowledge in new interesting form among the members of a social network. I support collaborating learning. In the words of Lindsay and Davis, "effective use of technology can build bridges between classrooms, nations, and humankind, and students are the greatest textbook ever written for one another and will be travelers on this bridge".
With best regards
