Target Audience(s): Teachers at all Levels

Short Session Description (one line): From Textbook to Interactive, Multimedia Wiki – using technology to organize and deliver content

Full Session Description (as long as you would like): As a computer literacy teacher, the currency of my material is very important. Textbooks can’t keep up with the latest changes to social media, threats such as HeartBleed or incorporate the excellent material that is constantly being published on the web. It’s also an organizational nightmare to keep track of all the multimedia – videos, images, articles – that you might want to include in your lessons. This presentation will share ideas on how to develop your own classroom wiki to take advantage of media, organize your teaching and even facilitate student collaboration. I will show examples of my classroom and school resource wiki and demonstrate how to go about setting up your own site.
