Full Session Description (as long as you would like): Build Your Legacy was created to pair 7/8 grade students with business and community representatives as well as teachers for a cross-curricular entrepreneurship experience. For two days, all 169 students were in the gymnasium. Split into teams of five, the students were walked through the basic components of a business plan as they tailored it and created the different components for their service or product based business. They heard from community business men and women and shared their ideas with the whole group throughout the experience. Half of the teams continued on in the competition and will now be presenting their businesses to a panel of judges in hopes of winning cash prizes.
