I launch my blog in Conversation.net pointing out a post on
Ibrid@menti
in theme with the group: the post written by Giuliana Guazzaroni, published on 04 Aug 2009, is titled “Learning means speaking.”
The author, besides to recall the Cluetrain Manifest and the other 95 Adams Scott’s thesis, cites
Harold Jarche in a reflection of the learning as a conversation and to the communication online as the essential component of learning online. I agree upon the analysis of Jarche and
Lee Lefever for which the students don’t consider the prefixed packets of learning contents in the online learning are not attracted exclusively from the traditional “stocks”
(be also websites, or also wiki and so on) if they are not integrated some conversational flow auto articulating in multiplicity of contract in the instruments of sharing. We are always very attracted by Web seminar offers, we join groups as well as chatting and sharing information. In this direction the
work, which I presented with the colleague Laura Antichi, has been evolved at Ticemed 2009 (see also the
Catelpol post). Our main idea was “to direct correctly, re-address” the “messing around” online on facebook of our students in order to become active and constructive communication to the purpose of the education and learning.
Moreover, the purpose is also to exploit, as Willy Richardson said, instant access to information (infinite stock) and the connections (constant flow) that the web makes easier.
The digital narrative are easier to use in the organization and manipulation of the information flow as it has just been started and up dated for its strong dynamicity. Finally, their discussion enables and qualifies this flow, and, so, in this contest, conversing is learning.
