About Me:: Shahla Khudiyeva is the Director of the Information Resource Complex and Baku American Center at the Azerbaijan State University of Languages. She is responsible for implementation of the main strategy of AUL Information Resource Complex (Information Resource Complex has been created with special financial support of President of Azerbaijan – Shahla was an author of this unique project in the Educational system of Azerbaijan). Also, she is an expert / adviser of the US Embassy’s Regional American Center’s program in Azerbaijan from 2007 till now. She is responsible for the strategic programming and implementation of all action plans of the Baku American Centre.
Shahla Khudiyeva has received the second Honor diploma from International School in Moscow on Information Science in Education and Informational Culture ( she has graduated Azerbaijan University of Languages as Master’s degree and Institute of Advanced Trainings for the Specialists in the Field of Culture and Information Science in Moscow with honor diploma). She is alumni of the Open World Program 2010 as the head of delegation of the regional American Centre’s coordinators (innovations in the programming of the educational programs).
Shahla has got great experience according to the different Scholarship programs: American Spaces workshops (Italy,Pistoia - 2014 ,May, Vienna, Austria, 2012 October 2-7, Vienna, Austria 2009, September 8-11) ; Belgium, Brussels, 2012 November (NATO Headquarters – Opinion Formers from Azerbaijan – Special program for Azerbaijani delegation);USA, Worcester, International Center of Worcester - Open World program ; Oxford University – East European Scholarship Program, Oxford, UK 2008; Study Program: Information institutions for Active Citizenship – Global Perspectives, Helsinki, Finland, September, 2004; Fellowship Program for Georgian and Azerbaijani Information Specialists / Study tour Vilnius, Lithuania , November, 2004.
She has experience in project management (implementing two big projects in 20 Azerbaijani regions according to the special grants of the U.S. State Department of State during 2003 – 2010. Shahla Khudiyeva has more than 20 years experience in project management (general management, strategic management, personnel, budgeting, planning, marketing and promotion, policymaking, leadership, decision making); Furthermore she has extensive experience in: developing methodological guidelines and other relevant materials for academics, fundraising, conducting trainings on Modern Technologies and Information in the Modern Society, in international relations and cooperation with other institutions, including local governmental institutions.
Shahla Khudiyeva is the co-author of the “Regional Higher education success model” scientific article, where the main idea is: the success of the higher education system is achieved by linking the educational institution with the well established industry.
Membership in Professional Organizations: Board Member of AzLA(Azerbaijan Library Development Association) - June, 1999– present, Head of International relations commission, Board Member of AzLIC (Azerbaijan Library Information Consortia) - September, 2003– present, eIFL net representative in Azerbaijan -National Coordinator on Intellectual property.
